The Mermaid Conference Centre, London - 380 Way Powercon production lighting patch

The historic Mermaid Theatre is located at Puddle Dock, Blackfriars. The Mermaid was conceived in the 1950's by the late Sir Bernard Miles. He funded the building by persuading the City of London to donate the site and asking the people of London to give him the money to buy the bricks. Sir Bernard had the foresight to design and build more than just a theatre, and it is thanks to him that the Mermaid Conference and Events Centre now boasts a wider range of rooms than just about any other City venue. In December 2007 specialist electrical contractor Fagan Electrical was awarded the contract to install a substantial production lighting patch panel for the Mermaid Conference Centre. Robolights role was to manufacture and pre-wire the unit ready for installation. The completed panel was 3.3 m long, fitted with 186 colour coded patch leads, each terminating with a 20 Amp Neutrik Powercon connector. 380 Powercon socket outlets were installed in facility panels mounted either side of the patch cords and wired out to the final socket outlets around the venue.
