15A

The 15A round pin system is the 'industry standard' connector for entertainment lighting in the UK. This connector is for indoor use and conforms to British Standard BS546. The socket has shuttered live and neutral contacts and accepts the 15A round pin, non-fused plug. The 15A version of the Robolights Smart Socket accepts this connector.

16A

The 16A system is often used for entertainment lighting as an alternative the 15A connector. This system is also often used in the film and TV industries and is ideal for outdoor use where protection from moisture is important. 16A connectors conform to BS EN 60309 which superseded the earlier BS4343 standard in 1999. The 16A version of the Robolights Smart Socket accepts this connector.

13A

The 13A rectangular pin system is the standard connector for domestic and general use in the UK and other countries. This connector is for indoor use and conforms to British Standard BS1363. The socket has shuttered live and neutral contacts and accepts a 13A fused plug. This connector is used for ancillary equipment in the entertainment lighting industry. The 15A version of the Robolights Smart Socket accepts this connector as well.
